It's finally starting to happen... a handful of members of Congress have discovered that blogging can help them get around the corporate-controlled media. So far, it's mostly limited to posting diaries over on DailyKos.com, but that's not a bad start. After all, Kos gets some half-million page views a day.
Which members? Senators Barbara Boxer and Jon Corzine (who's running for NJ Governor) - plus Representatives John Conyers, Jim McDermott, Louise Slaughter, and Anthony Weiner (who is currently a candidate for NYC mayor.)
And, as Jan Frel points out at Personal Democracy Forum, most of them have taken the blogging style to heart, avoiding pasting press releases or writing direct mail junk copy.
