On Saturday, I had a great opportunity to talk about politics and technology (what else?) at the Progressive Leadership Summit sponsored by Democracy for Oregon. The audience was mostly activists and super-volunteers - so we talked about the things that active citizens can do online to push the progressive agenda forward.
As promised, here's links to some good stuff that we talked about...
BlueOregon.com - the water cooler around which Oregon progressives gather to organize, strategize, and think out loud.
OnwardOregon.org - the activism center for Oregon progressives.
Blogger.com - a free blogging system (what are you waiting for?)
Typepad.com - my preferred blogging system, just $5/mo.
Yahoo Groups - free email listserv system.
America's Right Turn by Richard Viguerie, in which the godfather of the vast right-wing conspiracy discloses all his direct-mail secrets.
...and as said on Saturday, I have read the last chapter - we do win in the end. This new technology empowers the people, and will lift the grassroots over big money once again.
(Oh, and if you signed up for the email newsletter - sign up again here on the website. The sign-up sheet walked out of the room and never got back to me. Sorry!)
