In an effort to combat spam, AOL has announced that they're going to be developing a system that asks email senders to pay 1/4 to one-cent to ensure delivery of their mail.
Of course, this will allow AOL to tighten down on their spam filters even further -- forcing nonpaying emailers into the junkmail box.
Now, while anything that reduces spam might be a welcome thing, this AOL proposal is a bad, bad idea.
