We're not quite sure what to make of this yet... On his blog, Robert Scoble (former top blogger at Microsoft), hinted that he's off on a secret project - and it might have something to do with politics.
But tomorrow I get on a plane to go somewhere outside of California that I can’t yet share publicly about (I’ve been asked to keep quiet until I arrive where I’m going Wednesday evening). Hopefully the Verizon Wireless card will work where I’m going. It’s going to be an exciting week. ...Lately I’ve been doing a LOT of reading on the political scene in the United States. They use words I’m not all that familiar with either, like “reapportionment.” If you aren’t really deep into the political scene you’d have no idea what that meant. And, if you ARE deep into the political scene, you can use such terms to test whether the people you’re talking to are really “with it” or not.
In the comments, he was asked and then answered:
Guy Pelletier: Oh no, not politics :)Robert Scoble: I’ll keep it down to a dull roar. But, even when we talk about politics it’ll really be about tech anyway.
Scoble is one of the most knowledgeable and savvy tech gurus around -- should be interesting if he dives into the world of technology and politics...
Update: Tech guru Dave Winer dropped this further hint:
BTW, a little bird whispered in my ear that the next time you hear from Scoble he'll be far far away from California, doing something interesting, and surprisingly political
Update: Well, it's much less sexy than it originally appeared. Scoble is covering the Edwards campaign launch -- as a journalist. So, nevermind about all this.
