In California, our friend and client Frank D. Russo just became the first blogger to be credentialed as "press" by the California Correspondents Association. We recently told you about his fight to get credentialed - and the ridiculous obstacles the press was putting in his way.
From Frank's post at the California Progress Report:
I can get back to writing news and opinion, after having followed what Scoop Nisker used to say in the 70's on KSAN radio: "If you don't like the news, go out and make some of your own."
Of course, as Frank points out - the times they are a-changin'...
I put "blogger" in quotes because with the changing times the distinctions between journalism, columnists, and the new media on the internet are becoming blurred.
