I don't know about you, but I just can't wipe the grin off my face.
When the year started out, we didn't know what sort of election year it would be. Would it be another 2008, or another 2010? And while we had some tough losses, there were certainly a lot of big and surprising wins.
Here at Mandate Media, we helped campaigns from local to federal - and in Illinois, Virginia, Nevada, Minnesota, Washington, California, Oregon, and Wisconsin. And we worked with IE efforts in Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, California, and Washington.
We're proud of the work we did to:
- Flip two congressional seats in Illinois - with Bill Foster and Tammy Duckworth
- Re-elect three members of Congress in the Northwest
- Extend the Democratic win streak in statewide offices in Oregon
- Support the environmental movement's campaign for Jay Inslee for Governor in Washington
- Help elect progressive legislators in a half-dozen states
- Pass an historic school bond investment here in Portland
Even when we lost, we were proud of the fights we took on to:
- Help the Democratic Party of Wisconsin fight the Recall Walker fight
- Build a strong mayoral campaign from the ground up in Portland
- Take on Tea Party freshmen members of Congress in Illinois, Minnesota, and Nevada
Of course, none of these efforts are things we do alone. We're thankful to all those who were part of these efforts - the campaign staff, the consultants, the volunteers, and - most of all - the candidates who put themselves on the line, work from dawn to dusk, take the hits, and sacrifice so much. And we want to thank all the families of all the candidates, consultants, staff, and supporters.
Here at Mandate Media, we say that we do "internet strategy for people changing the world." And once again, after a hard-fought election cycle, we're thrilled that so many of our friends and allies are going to do just that.
Thank you.
